ROSANNE TAYLOR

My love affair with glass began by accident when I stumbled into a fused glass class in 2004 and was immediately addicted.  I was amazed by the number of ways you could manipulate the glass allowing endless creative possibilities.  The use of texture in glass, both tactile and visual is exciting.

I am inspired by nature, from the grand views of the mountains to the tiniest details of a flower.  This has drawn my work towards botanical themes in glass, not only in the subject, but the colors and especially using light and transparency to create depth.

Every time I see a beautiful scene or piece of art I immediately start thinking, “How can I make that in glass?”

Starting La Hoya Glass Artists studio and gallery is a dream come true.  After teaching fused glass classes for the past five years I was blessed to find a group of artists who had the same dream and vision for the future.  Together we have created something remarkable and we’re excited to share it with you.
